Jesus healed me of cancer - when all hope was gone

I RECEIVED A WONDERFUL MIRACLE - JESUS HEALED ME OF CANCER

I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER - MY ONLY HOPE WAS HOPE A MIRACLE

My name is Andrew Kakepetum, of Sandy Lake, Ontario. In 2001, I was examined and treated medically for a sickness in the area of my pancreas. The next year, the specialists made a definite diagnosis: I had galloping cancer. The doctor said that I should have radiation treatment.

I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH GALLOPING CANCER AND WAS SCHEDULED FOR RADIATION TREATMENT - WE CALLED PASTOR MAX SOLBREKKEN FOR PRAYER

GOD IS A MIRACLE WORKER

We called Pastor Max Solbrekken in Edmonton for prayer - the only hope left was a miracle. Pastor Max Solbrekken was in Hawaii, but spoke to us several times and prayed powerful prayers over the telephone. Pastor Max Solbrekken told us that God was a MIRACLE WORKER and that God had promised in His Word to answer our prayers… Pastor Solbrekken told us to continue praying and expect a miracle.

WE PRAYED SEEKING GOD FOR A MIRACLE

I was getting weaker and having a hard time walking, but my wife Jessica and I decided to draw closer to God by reading His word and praying together. Often, we would rise at 3:00 am to seek God. We prayed for a miracle, a miracle healing. We had anointed a certain chair with oil in the name of Jesus. I would sit in that chair during these time of prayer and seeking God.

I CONTINUED TO GET WORSE BUT WE CONTINUED TO PRAY AND SEEK GOD FOR A MIRACLE

One time I felt there was no hope and I told Jessica some things about our business affairs. Jessica refused to listen. She said she wasn’t going to let me die and that God would keep His Word to us and that I would receive a miracle of healing.

We were in turmoil in the summer of 2002 because I was getting worse. We had continued to pray and yet I had not received a miracle. We had asked Pastor Solbrekken to be our Camp speaker that summer. I was waiting for Pastor Solbrekken to pray for me again. We had a wonderful time as God’s presence was so real.

I WENT TO THE DOCTOR THAT SUMMER AND THE DOCTOR COULD NOT FIND ANY CANCER - I HAD RECEIVED A MIRACLE

Later that summer I began to feel stronger and walking much better. When I went in to see my doctor, he gave me the GOOD NEWS. The doctor could not find any CANCER. It was gone. Praise God forever. God gave me a miraculous healing miracle.

I came home with my son Eddy. When I walked into the house, Jessica was sitting at the table. I looked at her and said, “Do you know what the doctor told me?”

Then she got up and walked toward me and I still didn’t say anything. When she came real close, I told her, “The doctor has confirmed that he could not find even A TRACE OF CANCER.”

We hugged each other, and started to cry and praise the Lord Jesus Christ. We thanked God and praised him for His great faithfulness and blessing toward us. We thanked him for this wonderful miracle healing that he had given me. Praise the Lord.

GOD IS A MIRACLE WORKER - HAVE FAITH IN GOD BECAUSE WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

Don’t ever give up hope. Jesus Christ will answer your prayers. Jesus Christ will give you a miracle but you must have faith and be diligent to him.

THE KEY TO RECEIVING MIRACLES AND ANSWERS TO PRAYERS IS IN SEEKING GOD IN PRAYER, PRAISE, WORSHIP AND EXPECTANT FAITH
By: Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.

The key to receiving miracles and answers to prayers in found in seeking God in prayer, praise, worship and having expectant faith. Unfailing faith that God will answer your prayers and expect a miracle.

I believe that a major key to Andrew Kakepetum’s miraculous healing miracle can be found in the steadfast faith that he and Jessica have had year after year. The constant faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, has been exhibited in their godly lifestyle and exemplary Christian testimony.

During the awful months of Andrew’s serious illness, Andrew and his wife Jessica would often rise at 3:00 am and stay in prayer until sun-up. Together they would talk of the goodness of God, praying and seeking him for a miracle and reminding Him of His promise to them.

These times of worship and adoration at the feet of Jesus, were probably the most important element in the mixture of faith, trust and the gifts of healing, that brought this miracle to fruition.

I have know Andrew and Jessica Kakepetum and their family wince 1971. They were married on July 10, 1949 and are respected elders in the Church and community. Andrew is 74 years of age and is as ‘fit as a fiddle’ since this wonderful miracle at the hands of Jesus.

I extol and praise our Heavenly Father through the Blessed Holy Spirit for His great gift to us, Jesus Christ our Saviour, Healer, Baptizer in the Holy Ghost and our soon to return in the Second Coming King. Amen.

Detect cancer early - and beat cancer

Very often people suffering from cancer die because the disease is discovered too late. This crafty, evil disease often refuse to manifest itself for detection until there’s little hope for its victim to fight back.

If cancer can be detected early, we will have a higher chance of winning the war against it by providing cancer patients with the most effective treatments.

Now, there’s hope of victory for cancer patients. A team of scientists from the NIBRT Dublin-Oxford Glycobiology Laboratory at UCD has developed a system to accurately seek out potential “biomarkers” of early forms of cancer. They accomplish this by examining the structures of specific sugar molecules that are attached either to proteins made by cancerous cells or to proteins involved in the host response.

Researchers have discovered that cancer cells have sets of proteins different from normal human cells, and that their proteins have changes in the types and numbers of sugar molecules that are attached to them. The team of scientists, led by Dr Pauline Rudd, have found that there are alterations in sugars attached to proteins in blood serum from all cancers they have looked at. Some of these alterations appear to be early markers of the cancer processes.

Dr Rudd and her colleagues believe that their ability to detect these changes in sugars gives them the key to developing a new approach for diagnosing cancer and monitoring its progression.

Even more encouraging is that they have managed to isolate several sugar-linked variants of particular proteins which are associated with different types of cancer, such as prostrate, pancreatic, ovarian and breast cancers. They believe that if they can find more specific sugar variants, in the long run they will be able to use a combinations of these as biomarkers to enable particular cancers to be diagnosed very early with pinpoint accuracy. These techniques could even replace physical methods, such as scanning, that are not very reliable for early diagnosis.

How are cancerous sugars identified?
The scientists remove sugars from the proteins and break them down into very small components by using enzymes. They then characterize these fragments individually to form a ‘fingerprint’ for each sugar they analyze.

They compare the fingerprints of sugars from cancer patients and cancer-free patients. The sugars that are different from the normal ones are the potential biomarkers. Dr Rudd and her team hope to be able to identify a large number of markers for further testing and then clinical trials.

This technique offers exciting prospect
As more and more such cancer biomarkers are made available, there’s hope that cancer can be detected early and accurately, and also cancer progression and response to therapy can be monitored more accurately than is currently possible. The bottom line is: people will not lose their lives prematurely to cancer.

Lap Band surgery - up to 80% of weight loss

What is Lap Band Surgery?
Lap Band Surgery is a weight loss surgery procedure. This procedure is minimally invasive. It seeks to reduce stomach size so patients feel fuller faster and are unable to eat large portions of food. Most patients lose about 50% of their excess weight within the first year after the surgery.

How does Lap Band surgery work?
The surgery involves the use of a lap band (ie “gastric band”). The lap band is inflatable, and placed around the upper part of the stomach. This results in:

(a) the stomach becomes smaller and therefore you eat less, and

(b) a little pouch being created by the cinching of the top part of the stomach. This little pouch slows down the emptying process into the stomach.

These two factors cause patients to eat less and feel fuller for a longer time.

The lap band is placed with thin surgical instruments and small incisions under the skin. These surgical instruments have small cameras that enable the gastric lap band to be positioned around the top part of the stomach without cutting or stapling, and thus the patients can recover faster.

Gastric Bypass vs. Lap Band
A popular weight loss surgery is “Gastric Bypass”. Like lap band surgery, gastric bypass also creates a small pouch at the top of the stomach but using surgical staples. Unlike lap band surgery, in gastric bypass the small pouch is connected directly to the middle portion of the small intestine, bypassing the rest of the stomach and the upper portion of the small intestine.

Therefore it is obvious that gastric bypass has some serious risks, such as:

(i) cutting and re-connecting of stomach and intestines
(ii) possible intestinal leak, hernias, dumping syndrome or food intolerance
(iii) malabsorption of nutrients, since food does not enter the entire length of small intestine where most of the nutrients and calories are absorbed.

By contrast, since lap band surgery involves no cutting or re-connecting of stomach or intestines, there are fewer surgical risks and a lower rate of of intestinal leak, hernias, dumping syndrome or food intolerance. There is also no malabsorption of nutrients.

Lap band surgery has the further advantage of being able to adjust the size of the stomach. Once the patient loses weight the band must be tightened to ensure the person keeps losing the weight. If a patient gains weight the band must then be loosened by the doctor. Thus the lap band can be customized to suit individual weight loss goals.

Because the Lap-Band is an implantable device, it does carry a small risk of slippage (causing complete blockage of the gastric pouch) or erosion into the stomach (causing weight loss to stop). In either case, another laparoscopic surgery would be required to re-position or remove the band.

A doctor performing LAP-BAND surgery should be board certified in general surgery by The American Board of Surgery, and should have extensive additional training in bariatric — weight loss — surgery. Allergan, Inc., the manufacturer of the LAP-BAND system, which provides training in its product for surgeons, has a guide for prospective patients that includes information about finding a surgeon.

Although weight loss surgery is endorsed by the National Institutes of Health as the only effective treatment for morbid obesity, not all insurance policies cover the cost of weight loss surgery. Those that do will often require that you provide extensive documentation about your health, along with a letter from one of our physicians stating that your surgery is a “medical necessity.”
