How Do Hybrid Cars Work?
“How do hybrid cars work?” is what many consumers are curious to know about. This is in addition to them wanting to know that hybrid cars achieve excellent fuel economy and reduced emissions.
A hybrid car is essentially a vehicle powered by two different sources: an electric motor and an internal combustion engine which propels the car. Hybrid cars are intended to reduce exhaust emissions whilst maintaining an acceptable level of performance.
They achieve this by combining a small petrol engine with battery powered electric motors. The small petrol engine gives low emission power for cruising and the electric motor gives the additional power for acceleration and hill climbing whilst adding no extra exhaust emissions. The battery is charged by absorbing the energy usually lost in heat during braking and during overrun as the car free wheels downhill or when you lift the accelerator pedal approaching hazards. The same rotating electric device works as a motor when electric power is fed to it and generates power for battery charging when absorbing power from the car wheels on overrun. This is controlled by on board computers.
A hybrid car is a vehicle that uses a rechargeable energy system and a normal gasoline fueled power source for propulsion. These cars are low-polluting and consume less gasoline than cars with pure internal combustion engines. The major difference between Hybrid cars and Electric cars is that hybrid cars can recharge its electric batteries by using the combustion engine to generate energy while all-electric cars use batteries charged by an external source.
The engine in the hybrid car is powerful enough to move the car along on the freeway, but when it needs to get the car moving in a hurry, or go up a steep hill, it needs help. That “help” comes from the electric motor and battery — this system steps in to provide the necessary extra power.
Different manufacturers have adopted slightly different strategies for the more detailed aspects of energy economy. Honda stop the engine when the car is stopped. It starts automatically when you engage gear to move off. Otherwise the petrol engine is always running.Toyota cars will drive short distances without the petrol engine, relying entirely on the electric drive.
All manufacturers go to some lengths to keep weight down by using aluminium components and careful design. Aerodynamic efficiency is also considered very important. The extra complexity of the hybrid technology means that these cars are more expensive than conventional cars. Costs will come down if production volumes go up.

Jesus healed me of cancer - when all hope was gone
I RECEIVED A WONDERFUL MIRACLE - JESUS HEALED ME OF CANCER
I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER - MY ONLY HOPE WAS HOPE A MIRACLE
My name is Andrew Kakepetum, of Sandy Lake, Ontario. In 2001, I was examined and treated medically for a sickness in the area of my pancreas. The next year, the specialists made a definite diagnosis: I had galloping cancer. The doctor said that I should have radiation treatment.
I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH GALLOPING CANCER AND WAS SCHEDULED FOR RADIATION TREATMENT - WE CALLED PASTOR MAX SOLBREKKEN FOR PRAYER
GOD IS A MIRACLE WORKER
We called Pastor Max Solbrekken in Edmonton for prayer - the only hope left was a miracle. Pastor Max Solbrekken was in Hawaii, but spoke to us several times and prayed powerful prayers over the telephone. Pastor Max Solbrekken told us that God was a MIRACLE WORKER and that God had promised in His Word to answer our prayers… Pastor Solbrekken told us to continue praying and expect a miracle.
WE PRAYED SEEKING GOD FOR A MIRACLE
I was getting weaker and having a hard time walking, but my wife Jessica and I decided to draw closer to God by reading His word and praying together. Often, we would rise at 3:00 am to seek God. We prayed for a miracle, a miracle healing. We had anointed a certain chair with oil in the name of Jesus. I would sit in that chair during these time of prayer and seeking God.
I CONTINUED TO GET WORSE BUT WE CONTINUED TO PRAY AND SEEK GOD FOR A MIRACLE
One time I felt there was no hope and I told Jessica some things about our business affairs. Jessica refused to listen. She said she wasn’t going to let me die and that God would keep His Word to us and that I would receive a miracle of healing.
We were in turmoil in the summer of 2002 because I was getting worse. We had continued to pray and yet I had not received a miracle. We had asked Pastor Solbrekken to be our Camp speaker that summer. I was waiting for Pastor Solbrekken to pray for me again. We had a wonderful time as God’s presence was so real.
I WENT TO THE DOCTOR THAT SUMMER AND THE DOCTOR COULD NOT FIND ANY CANCER - I HAD RECEIVED A MIRACLE
Later that summer I began to feel stronger and walking much better. When I went in to see my doctor, he gave me the GOOD NEWS. The doctor could not find any CANCER. It was gone. Praise God forever. God gave me a miraculous healing miracle.
I came home with my son Eddy. When I walked into the house, Jessica was sitting at the table. I looked at her and said, “Do you know what the doctor told me?”
Then she got up and walked toward me and I still didn’t say anything. When she came real close, I told her, “The doctor has confirmed that he could not find even A TRACE OF CANCER.”
We hugged each other, and started to cry and praise the Lord Jesus Christ. We thanked God and praised him for His great faithfulness and blessing toward us. We thanked him for this wonderful miracle healing that he had given me. Praise the Lord.
GOD IS A MIRACLE WORKER - HAVE FAITH IN GOD BECAUSE WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
Don’t ever give up hope. Jesus Christ will answer your prayers. Jesus Christ will give you a miracle but you must have faith and be diligent to him.
THE KEY TO RECEIVING MIRACLES AND ANSWERS TO PRAYERS IS IN SEEKING GOD IN PRAYER, PRAISE, WORSHIP AND EXPECTANT FAITH
By: Pastor Max Solbrekken, D.D.
The key to receiving miracles and answers to prayers in found in seeking God in prayer, praise, worship and having expectant faith. Unfailing faith that God will answer your prayers and expect a miracle.
I believe that a major key to Andrew Kakepetum’s miraculous healing miracle can be found in the steadfast faith that he and Jessica have had year after year. The constant faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, has been exhibited in their godly lifestyle and exemplary Christian testimony.
During the awful months of Andrew’s serious illness, Andrew and his wife Jessica would often rise at 3:00 am and stay in prayer until sun-up. Together they would talk of the goodness of God, praying and seeking him for a miracle and reminding Him of His promise to them.
These times of worship and adoration at the feet of Jesus, were probably the most important element in the mixture of faith, trust and the gifts of healing, that brought this miracle to fruition.
I have know Andrew and Jessica Kakepetum and their family wince 1971. They were married on July 10, 1949 and are respected elders in the Church and community. Andrew is 74 years of age and is as ‘fit as a fiddle’ since this wonderful miracle at the hands of Jesus.
I extol and praise our Heavenly Father through the Blessed Holy Spirit for His great gift to us, Jesus Christ our Saviour, Healer, Baptizer in the Holy Ghost and our soon to return in the Second Coming King. Amen.

Best Hybrid Car
So, you want to know what is the best hybrid car.
(1) However, to answer your question, you have to know your reasons for buying a hybrid car because not all hybrids address those issues equally. This is one of the more important questions to address when you are considering buying a hybrid car.
(2) The second most important question to consider is what kind of conditions will you be driving your hybrids.
(3) Lastly are you looking for a hybrid sedan, a hybrid SUV or a luxury hybrid?
Fuel Economy
If you want to use as little gas as possible, then the Toyota Prius or the Honda Civic Hybrid are the best, followed by the Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Nissan Altima Hybrid.
The Civic and the Prius hybrids are in the same relative price range, whilst the Camry and Altima hybrids are in the other same price range.
In terms of pure fuel efficiency, especially in city driving or in a traffic congestion situation, Toyota Prius, like all Toyota hybrids, have larger hybrid batteries and thus making them capable of using only electrical power at lower speeds. Therefore the Prius is a bit of a better performer in terms of pure fuel efficiency.
The Prius is also a big hit with the environmentalists because being a full hybrid it pollutes very little. The CO2 emissions are tremendously reduced.
Honda Civic Hybrid however is a better choice if you drive mostly on the highway or at a consistent speed.
The 2nd tier of hybrid vehicles in terms of fuel economy, the Nissan Altima Hybrid and the Toyota Camry Hybrid, provide excellent city fuel economy as well. Both the conventional Camry and the hybrid Camry were named Motortrend’s Vehicle of the year for 2007.
Tax credits for Toyota Prius expired fully recently. So, if the tax credit is an important concern, then you might want to consider the Civic hybrid. However, the Civic hybrid tax credit will be cut in half as of January 1st 2008.
The Altima hybrid will qualify for the full clean vehicle tax credit, unlike the Camry. So, again, if the tax credit is important, then maybe the Altima hybrid is a better choice.

Other Hybrid Sedans
The Honda Accord hybrid is a different breed of hybrid. It is more powerful, and significantly more fuel efficient than its conventional cousin. In urban, stop-and-go traffic, however, the hybrid Accord is the least efficient of all the hybrids. This hybrid is a purely a highway vehicle.
GM now offers the Saturn Aura hybrid and will soon offer the Chevy Malibu hybrid. Both of these hybrids are mild hybrid vehicles, meaning that they cannot be powered on electric power only. Both only provide a minimal increase in fuel economy, however, each offer the best fuel economy of any Aura or Malibu, respectively.
If fuel economy is your main priority, then neither the Malibu hybrid, nor the the Aura hybrid are best buys. However, if you like the Aura or the Malibu, then the hybrid versions is definitely a fuel economical option over that of the conventional model.
So can you decide which is the Best Hybrid Car?
